Don't get me wrong, there are some nice people but I felt like at times some of society would act a bit too mean. I also don't really like how some people in the show just act like jerks around the bears. I don't know, it looks too friendly at times but I guess that's only a nitpick. It's cute and tame but maybe a bit too tame. The art style and animation is also nice. They very clearly have a use for them and they don't shove them into the audiences' faces to act cool or modern unlike other cartoons. It uses a lot of modern day references like smartphones and laptops, except when they mention them they feel, get ready for this, SUBTLE. Oh yeah, the show has a unique premise I really like. He's probably the most awkward out of the bunch and I can't help but laugh with him. He's basically the bear equivalent to every otaku in the world and it's hilarious. ![]() The characters are pretty funny and relatable. It's basically a slice of life anime except it's not in Japan and the characters aren't school girls. The show's central theme is pretty relatable. They live in the sunny city of San Francisco as they try to fit in with society. The show is about three bears: Griz (a grizzly bear), Panda (a well Panda), and Ice Bear (a Polar Bear). It's still going with a positive reception. OK, so We Bare Bears is a show that aired last year on Cartoon Network. It was kind of embarrassing so I'm going back to review it again. ![]() A while back I made a review on this show and was overly enthusiastic, giving it a 10/10.

6/12/2023 0 Comments Free jalbum hosting site![]() ![]() However, I decided to try to move all cloud services onto my Synology NAS: email server, web server, photo, video, and music sync, etc. If I was going to use a cloud service, SmugMug would be my choice. I was a paying client and loved it before exploring PhotoStructure. I’ll be watching PhotoStructure as it progresses. The above solution set does not rely upon an cloud services. jAlbum, in local host mode, allows pointers to folders and images so the albums rely upon the single master copy of the organized library. I can generate albums and easily upload to my Synology NAS DSM 7 website. JAbum is my sharing and album creation tool. Also, the face recognition software is being frequently improved and works quite well, but still has some quirks. Synology NAS DSM 7.0 web services for album sharing.ĭigiKam with SQL database which syncs the database and image metadata very well. I finally decided on using 3 components for my personal ultimate solution for photo management, presentation, and sharing: I think, if the direction of development continues, it will be a major player. I like the direction of PhotoStructure, but really needed something more mature. Like many, I have tried numerous photo management platforms, and each has strong and weak points. I am grateful that I came across PS and am duly impressed with the excellent work done so far. Currently I am still planning on hosting with my SmugMug account (I still like their terms and conditions better than any other service I’ve come across) but self-hosting would be ideal for me. Ideally I am looking for a public (i.e.: family and friends) facing option for sharing my photos/videos that I can self-host. While I can get used to the syntax, I can see this being very awkward if sharing it with family/friends. Aside from adding geo-location and profile support, it seems to tick the majority of my boxes. Scanning of my photo/video folders has been pretty solid. Its UI could use some improvement but overall it is a viable long term contender.įor PhotoView, my strong appeal is for its UI but otherwise it is on the weaker side. This product is stable and has good performance. I really do like PhotoPrism and a delete feature is available if you become a supporter (I did). ![]() It does have a lot of image metrics that are nicely displayed but my biggest concern is performance. I really want to like LibrePhotos but performance is slow and the product needs a lot of development before I could consider using it long term. On my short list for long term use are PhotoStructure and PhotoPrism. Other products I am currently evaluating include LibrePhotos, PhotoPrism and PhotoView. Map/geo-location would be nice to show all photos/videos that are geo-tagged on a map. They should have view only access at least for the site and ideally by album or other division. Profile support would be handy for sharing PS with friends and family. I have started to use digiKam for my tagging and facial recognition since I can embed the tags very easily into the images.įeatures I would like to see include profile support and map/geo-location. ![]() Originally I was also looking for PS to handle face recognition but I concluded that I no longer see this as a “must have” feature for PS. It allows me to use my existing photo organization structure effectively alongside my other photo/video apps that I am using and evaluating. Overall, PS is a good performer running in Docker on my QNAP NAS (TVS672x). For now, I am limited in using it for curation since I cannot tag for delete/archive. This would make it a great tool to begin macro curation of photo/video collections. PS is fantastic in the way that it presents collections of photos for review. I am truly hopeful for a delete/archive function coming soon. I canceled one of the subscriptions but will subscribe for one year to see where PS goes. I noticed this when I received two notices that I was about to be charged for my subscription. When I signed up for my trial, for some reason I was signed up twice. I am coming up on the end of my PS Plus trial and thought I would share my thoughts so far. ![]() The books are missing several pages, rendering the sons' messages unclear and riddled with static.Īs the player continues to explore the island, books linking to more Ages are discovered hidden behind complex mechanisms and puzzles. From the panels of their books, Sirrus and Achenar tell the player that Atrus is dead each brother blames the other for the death of their father, as well as the destruction of much of Atrus' library. ![]() Atrus writes special "linking books" that transport people to the worlds, or "Ages", that the books describe. These books are traps that hold Sirrus and Achenar, the sons of Atrus, who once lived on Myst island with his wife Catherine. : 2 Myst contains a library where two additional books can be found, colored red and blue. Placing their hand on the last page, the player is whisked away to the world described and is left with no choice but to explore the island. The player reads the book and discovers a detailed description of an island world called Myst. Players assume the role of an unnamed person who stumbles across an unusual book titled "Myst". The game unfolds at its own pace and is solved through a combination of patience, observation, and logical thinking. There are no obvious enemies, no physical violence, no time limit to complete the game, and no threat of dying at any point. This means that players must simply begin to explore. The player is provided with very little backstory at the beginning of the game, and no obvious goals or objectives are laid out. Each Age must be explored to solve the game's primary puzzle on Myst.Īpart from its predominantly nonverbal storytelling, Myst 's gameplay is unusual among adventuring computer games in several ways. Each of the Ages-named Selenitic, Stoneship, Mechanical, and Channelwood-requires the user to solve a series of logical, interrelated puzzles to complete its exploration. There, the player discovers and follows clues to be transported via "linking books" to several "Ages", each of which is a self-contained mini-world. To complete the game, the player must fully explore the island of Myst. Players can only carry a single page at a time, and pages return to their original locations when dropped. : 9 Some items can be carried by the player and read, including journal pages which provide backstory. While this provides a rapid method of travel, it can also cause players to miss important items and clues. Myst has an optional "Zip" feature to assist in rapidly crossing areas already explored when a lightning bolt cursor appears, players can click and skip several frames to another location. : 5–6 The player moves by clicking on locations shown on the screen the scene then crossfades into another frame, and the player can explore the new area. ![]() Players can interact with specific objects on some screens by clicking or dragging them. The game has been rereleased and remade using real-time 3D graphics. Myst helped drive adoption of the CD-ROM drive, spawned a multimedia franchise, and inspired clones, parodies, and new video game genres, as well as spin-off novels and other media. Selling more than six million copies, Myst became the best-selling PC game until The Sims exceeded its sales in 2002. Critics lauded the ability of the game to immerse players in its fictional world it has since been considered one of the best video games ever made. The game was a critical and commercial success. The game was created on Macintosh computers and ran on the HyperCard software stack, though ports to other platforms subsequently required the creation of a new engine. The game's design was limited by the small memory footprint of consoles (the original intended platform for the game) and by the slow speed of CD-ROM drives. They wanted to create a graphically-impressive game with a nonlinear story and mystery elements. Myst marked a segue for the Miller brothers from the kid's games market to adult-targeted games. The player interacts with objects and walks to different locations by clicking on pre-rendered imagery. From there, solving puzzles allows the player to travel to other worlds ("Ages"), which reveal the backstory of the game's characters and help the player make the choice of whom to aid. I'd love to be wrong, though, and see an example (blog post, youtube, whatever) of Sublime working for TypeScript development with all/most of what VS Code offers out of the box (even if it involves some configuration steps). So, maybe I'm doing it wrong, or maybe it doesn't work. I mean it didn't highlight errors in TypeScript as a typed them, and "go to definition" didn't jump to the correct definition, but rather offered me a list of every place in the project where a symbol with that name was defined (including the correct one, but also several incorrect ones).) restarted Sublime Text 4 (just in case) use that to install Package → LSP-typescript However, since we are in the thread I googled it with, and then followed the top blog post results, which involved: Not really trying to criticize it just noticing that it doesn't work out of the box, and I personally have never had the time to fiddle with it to see if it can be made to work. ![]() I'd be happy to find that I'm wrong about that, though.Ĭool. There was a lot I liked about Sublime back in the day, but I felt like it just failed to keep up with the basic-level state of the art for a code editor. But are you saying these features can now be made to work in Sublime (perhaps with some configuration, or something)? To me, these basic features are table stakes for an editor in 2022, and should hopefully "just work" if you open a TypeScript file. Unfortunately, while it did offer to autocomplete the titleId property, that property is from a completely unrelated class to Hoge that isn't imported in the current file (but I can see in the hover popup where it Sublime is getting the definition), and also that property is a string, but Sublime lets me go ahead and assign a number to the property without flagging it as an error. I just fired up Sublime Text 4 and opened a vanilla Angular project to try the TypeScript support. It's interesting you mention LSP support, because that is basically why I stopped using it - the as-you-type auto-completion, error/warning highlighting, and doc/reminder/hint functionality was sorely lacking (compared to leading non-native editors like VS Code / Jetbrains). I bought Sublime Text through v3 but didn't really use it anymore, so declined to buy v4 (so far). 6/12/2023 0 Comments Fun online roleplaying games![]() One such monster - a hulking ogre by the name of Roy - has no interest in eating humans.
